Meet Julian!

Hello All!

It's been awhile since my last update, but I've been a little...busy :).

We welcomed our first son Julian this past June! He was born during the hottest summer in Texas, Mav's won the NBA Championship (his daddy was very happy about that!) and the Ranger's are in the World Series (and hopefully they'll win it all, so daddy can do some major bragging!) It's been quite a wild ride, and being a mother is better than I could have ever imagined, though it's not as easy as it looks! LOL! I wouldn't trade it for the world!

I made the mistake of thinking I was super human (imagine that) and booked shoots a week and a half after giving birth (yes, I know...what was I thinking?!?!). But now that we've gotten into the swing of things, I'm slowly getting back to work. I've been on a few auditions here and there and have been taking meetings. I'm set to star in a film later this year! I'll let you know details as soon as I'm able to announce!

While I was out, some films I was a part of are doing very well. WUSS has been traveling the film festival circuit. They were recently part of the young Amercans section at AFI fest. Season's of Gray had a two week run in Dallas with multiple sell out screenings! I was sad to miss out on all the events, but am very excited for all those involved!

Wanda the Wonderful and This is a Love Story are both in post and coming along nicely.

I'm back to studying with my favorite coach Theresa Bell! I've been with her for years now and it's nice to be back. Gotta work out any rust I may have accumulated in the past nine months!

I did a little updating to the ol' demo reel. It includes some new scenes from Drive Angry and Wuss....so while I go sing my little boy back to sleep...enjoy :)

Wow, so this is the week for news!

Justin and I are proud to announce...one of our best productions will be arriving in June!

That's right. Baby Julian Arthur Hilliard is due this summer.

"Now," You ask..."What will you do with yourself?!"

Don't worry people! I am still the work-a-holic you all know and love, so I'll be filling these next four months with all kinds of projects! Whether it be, producing, writing, promoting...you name it...I'll probably be doing it as to not go crazy!

Plus, keep reading! There are a lot of exciting things happening!

THIS IS A LOVE STORY

Starts shooting at the end of the month! I play the lead character's very "optimistic" and very pregnant (very convenient!) younger sister. I'm very excited to work with some good friends and talented people!

ARCHAIC REDEMPTION

Originally I was cast to play the role of "Ava" an undead Neko character in the film's post apocalypse world. Since it wouldn't really make sense for this character to be pregnant (cough) and the film will be shooting in April (and I will REALLY be pregnant by then)...writer/director Anthony Brownrigg will be transferring me to the human side of the film's world. I'm excited to still be able to be a part of this project!

WANDA THE WONDERFUL

WRAPPED!

It's very bitter/sweet to be wrapped on this film directed by Carolyn Macartney. I think Wanda Savage has been one of the most fun/complicated/exhausting and exhilarating characters I've played to date! We finished the last week of the project right here in Dallas, Tx. (as you know we spent a month in June shooting the majority of the film in Wyoming.) They are full swing into post productions and I can't wait to see the final project!

Having a great time shooting this film with D7 Studios in Austin, Tx. It's been a lot of back and forth from Dallas, but I've got my iPod and books on tape. Lots of fun stunts, guns, and special effects.

Red Victoria walked away with "Best Picture" and the "Audience Award" at the Bram Stoker Film Festival in England. Looks like the film is going to have a nice run over seas! Yippee!

"THE OTHER SIDE OF PARADISE"

First and foremost I must tell everyone that our award winning film "The Other Side of Paradise" is now available for pre-orders! Just head to our website to get your copy!

Things are going great and I'm staying busy! Now that I've had a chance to settle in a little bit, I'll update you on all the "happenings"! Got a new project going called "Book of Babylon" directed by Arik Renee Avila. I play Detective Darwin Rice and I'm pretty much a bad @$$ :) This will be my first film to actually do some physical stunts so I'm pretty excited about that. I'll also be shooting more guns, which I am all too familiar with these days!

Also on the list is a beautiful film called "This is a Love Story" by Ryan Harper Gray. I play the "perky" and very pregnant sister.

As well as a not-so-beautiful-but-still-pretty-freakin-awesome film called "Archaic Redemption" where I'll team up once again with "Red Victoria's" director Anthony Brownrigg.

So this has been a fun filled month full of all kinds of exciting things!

Just wrapped on Clay Liford's film WUSS AKA: Minor in Possession. (literally like an hour ago :) Had a great time on set and got to shoot with some of my all time fav actors and crew! Can't wait to see the final product! It's going to be a lot of fun!

Also finished up shooting on the faith-based film "Seasons of Gray" produced by Watermark Films. It's a modern re-telling of the story of Joseph. (We all remember him, right? THE Joseph and the coat of many colors. Well, I remember...but my mom was a Sunday school teacher..so there.)

Just got back from spending a month in beautiful Wyoming shooting "Wanda the Wonderful". It was an amazing experience and I had a blast. How often do you get to ride horses, shoot guns, drive classic cars and swim in canals? Just sayin', I love my job! I even went away with having met some great people and new friends.

On a different note, I'm excited to announce, I'll be playing the role of Heather in Clay Liford's newest film "Minor in Possession". We start filming the end of this month!

WANDA THE WONDERFUL

I'm very excited to announce that I will be playing the role of Wanda in Wanda the Wonderful. This film is about the true life story of Wanda Savage, a sharpshooter in the 1920's.

She had four husbands (and surprisingly only shot one), seven children and was a woman who knew no boundaries. Filming starts in June, so I'll be practicing my shootin' skills!

DRIVE ANGRY

Had a great time shooting on Drive Angry. Got to join a cult, have a baby and die all in the same movie (and in 3D no less :). Now, I know you can't wait to see it, but be patient. Until then enjoy a few snapshots.

Farewell to Starbucks

I have some very

exciting news! As of next week, I will officially be a full time actress / producer / and just all around creative type. That's right! No more early mornings at the "bucks". You may be seeing more of me in the comfort of your own homes than you ever wanted to!

Dallas International Film Festival 2010

After an intense 10 day marathon of interviews, films and parties, the festival has finally wrapped. We had enough Vodka and Stella Artois to last a life time, however I have a feeling come next year I'll be ready for more! We'll be releasing clips soon for our documentary "3 Thumbs Up" in the upcoming months. Stay tuned!

So I guess it's ok to announce the hush hush film (Since it is officially on IMDb now). I will be playing the role of Nicolas Cage's daughter in his new action flick "Drive Angry". It stars quite a few fun faces like David Morse, William Fichtner and Billy Burke. Very excited about this one!

It's already been an amazing year and it's not even March yet!

I booked a role in a big budget action film (that's going to be in 3D!). I can't announce the film yet, but it's pretty darn exciting.

Also, I'm sure some of you have noticed a girl that looks a lot like me eating a burrito at Taco Bueno...don't be fooled...it is me :)

Rose Hewitt (Arianne Martin) picks up her friend, Alex Doran (John Elliott), from the airport in Dallas to go on a road trip all the way to Austin for the opening of her very first photo gallery. Along the way there, they stop at a prison to pick up Jamie (Frank Mosley), Rose’s paroled younger brother, and from there to the town of Paradise where Rose’s father, James (Jodie Moore) resides. Courtney (Susana Gibb), James’ new wife who’s quite peppy, dim-witted and only slightly older than Rose, awkwardly greets them in one of the film’s funniest scenes. Other detours include a swimming pool that happens to belong to a bigoted redneck, a hotel where Jamie must pretend to be blind and use Rose’s little dog as a seeing-eye dog. Just by the way that Rose and Alex look and talk to each other throughout the road trip, it’s clear that they want to be more than just friends with one another. The sensitive screenplay by Justin D. Hilliard, Arianne Martin and Ryan Hartsell balances the drama with just the right amount of humor. For every comedic moment, there’s a dramatic one that adds some poignancy and gravitas, such as when it comes to Rose and Alex’s gradually blossoming romance, how Alex responds to Rose getting raped by a bartender, and Rose’s attempt to meet her biological mother, Lola (Sandra Looney). Director Justin D. Hilliard includes a lively soundtrack and an appropriate leisurely pace allowing you to get to immerse yourself in each scene. It’s also worth mentioning Arianne Martin’s charming, radiant performance as the very appealing and sexy Rose. Her very first scene in the film is both honest and revealing. The more you observe her, Alex and Jamie together on the road, the more you’re interested in learning more about them. They’re each true-to-life and complex characters and there’s more to them than meets the eye. Beneath Rose’s upbeat personality and smile, lurks some sadness and pain that she ends up coming to terms with. In many ways, the journey that she goes through is also a spiritual one during which she essentially discovers herself by facing her deep-rooted issues while Alex helps her through those emotional hurdles. Had a fantastic time on our journey! Feels good to be home and not living in a suitcase! Although we haven't been able to slow down. Our film theatrically releases in NYC on Dec 18th and Justin is flying back to do some interviews and promotions this weekend. We're keeping our fingers crossed for good numbers! Who wants to see Avatar or Nine, when they can see THE OTHER SIDE OF PARADISE?! Or hey...why not just make it a triple feature!

Updates from Plymouth!

We're half way through the trip and having a blast. Lots of hard work, but getting to see places I've never seen before. This Texas girl isn't use to the COLD though! Wow.

As for "3 Thumbs Up", things are going great. We've had some awesome screenings in major cities and the feed back has been incredible, so much so that the documentary has taken a fun turn. Very exciting. We'll have more details soon I'm sure.

We've had an amazing year so far.

We launched this year off with a bang.

The Other Side of Paradise (a film that I co-wrote/co-produced and starred in) was an Official Selection of AFI-Dallas. We premiered two sold out shows and they had to turn people away.

CRASH

I recently played a recurring role on Starz's new original series CRASH, produced by Paul Haggis and stars Dennis Hopper. It was a great first season. I got to dodge bullets and glass! Just for the record, I did all my own stunts!
